Very delicate and fine designer jewelry set with original box

This beautiful 1950’s vintage ‘La Rachelle Fifth Avenue by Jayson’ set is still in it’s original presentation box. This set features a bracelet with pretty detailed flower carvings in the gold plated band all around the wrist. The necklace and matching earrings all in a gold tone setting. All three pieces feature pasted light rose rhinestones and crystal rhinestones.

On the outside of the box you’ll see some wear and a damaged corner. The jewelry set inside the box is in an absolute MINT condition. I don’t think the set has ever left this box.

In the late 19th century in and around Fifth Avenue large department-stores with luxury goods opened their doors. From a Louisiana milliner to a French immigrant, the founders of New York’s finest department stores were simple men with extraordinary visions. Each would pioneer a concept, from affordable men’s suits and tailoring to bringing premium wares and undiscovered designers from Europe to Manhattan. Today the temples of American retail that these men created are a part of NY’s history.

‘La Rachelle Fifth Avenue by Jayson’ must have been an expansive jewelry line from one of these Fifth Avenue department-stores. The design of the set is so refined, every detail shows a ‘design decision’ made by the designer.
